Approaching site design with a strong UX focus is no longer optional. Google’s search rankings have included a range of ‘page experience’ measures, meaning that more user-friendly sites will now appear higher up in search results.
Not only does poor UX turn off search engines, it also irritates website visitors. One study found that a two-second increase in load times makes an average user 32% more likely to leave your mobile site, while a four-second increase bumps this up to 90%.
