Entrepreneur and communications strategist, Skye loves an opportunity to show how the considered blending of beautiful content and design can positively change a company’s total identity. Skye has more than 18 years’ combined experience in the mining, ICT, professional services, engineering and construction sectors across Australia, the UK and Africa, which she considers her grounding in writing for and advising leaders in technical industries. Skye has developed an Australian and international portfolio of clients and maintains a personal passion for improving quality of life and access to education in African nations.

When she is not strategising, you’ll find her relaxing with a glass of wine in hand, enjoying friendships and family, or giving time to her favourite charities – the Norkama Project and Wheelchairs for Kids.

Kerry McCurdy

GENERAL MANAGER (PEOPLE & OPERATIONS)

With more than 20 years’ experience in continuous improvement, product development and compliance management, Kerry is a management powerhouse. An agile thinker, she implements systems and processes to ensure efficient workflows, removing barriers to growth and opening the door to profound business transformation. She has worked with large public- and privately-owned businesses including Thomson Reuters, Wesfarmers and Frontier Software.

Outside of work, Kerry enjoys spending time with her poodles, kids and husband (in that order). She loves to jog, head to the gym and lose herself in a classic book.

Rhett Ardon

LEAD DIGITAL STRATEGIST

Our resident online guru, Rhett thrives on the challenge of bringing digital projects to life from concept to completion. Balancing his creativity and astute project management skills, Rhett sees every aspect of digital marketing as an opportunity for organisations to connect with new and existing customers and solve business problems. Raised to be a leader, not a follower, Rhett is most at home when mentoring the team with a level of professionalism, calm and precision.

When he’s not delving into the minutiae of wireframes or mapping out a UX plan, you’ll find Rhett jogging a moderate distance before work, kicking numerous behinds at his local football club or enjoying a glass of red at a local bar.

Alexander Thorpe

LEAD CONTENT STRATEGIST

A born storyteller with a genuine love of language, Alex works to find the twist at the heart of every tale. Motivated by curiosity and a strategic sixth sense, he’s capable of bringing an organisation’s unique offerings to light and refining them into clear, cohesive messages. With degrees in journalism and language teaching and an alter-ego as a crime novelist, Alex is the sort of person who makes a game of Scrabble last four hours.

Outside the office, he can usually be found messing around in the garden, dancing poorly at a local gig or buying yet more books to add to the ever-growing pile on his bedside table.

Alistair Hinchliffe

UX/SEARCH SPECIALIST

A specialist in customer acquisition and retention, Ali’s background in finance allows him to analyse each business he works with like a personal investment. Using data driven analysis, Ali uncovers a client’s strengths and opportunities for growth, breaking down executable strategies designed to increase online market share and brand visibility. Passionate about helping clients expand their digital reach, Ali focuses on optimising website functionality to boost user engagement and increase conversion performance.

An explorer at heart, Ali feels most at home when he is not at home. His most treasured places exist in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia or along the endless beaches of the Western Australian coastline.

Ashleigh Baxter

SENIOR MARKETING COORDINATOR

A driven marketer who loves taking a campaign from concept through to implementation, Ash works across our diverse client base upholding key relationships and keeping major projects on track. Known for her sunny disposition, rock-solid logic and flair for the written word, Ash focuses on brand execution across all touchpoints and supports the team in delivering major events and PR programs.

A farm girl at heart, Ash grew up in Woodanilling, but these days calls Perth home, where she enjoys socialising with friends, heading to the beach and tending to a much smaller ‘crop’ of indoor plants.

Danika Fernandes

MARKETING ASSISTANT

While acquiring her degree in Communications, Danika discovered her love of marketing and public relations as well as her natural passion for film and screen production. Realising that these skills can go hand in hand, Danika applies her talent within our creative team, putting together sleek, well-edited short video clips for social platforms and on-brand graphics and visuals for clients. With an eye for design and a love of aesthetics, Danika always finds a unique way to present the visual message. Initially seeking an opportunity to make a social impact globally, Danika has been an important member of our Norkama Project, strategising and developing campaigns to source donations for children in impoverished communities in Africa. She is incredibly excited to commit her talents to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

When she’s not busy at work, you can usually find Danika having a boogie on the dance floor, binging on a new show on Netflix or playing some tunes on her piano.

Dean Fuller

PHOTOGRAPHER

Gilligan Group’s resident paparazzo, Dean is normally found contorting his body to find the perfect angle. With a background in design and business psychology, Dean brings a unique eye to the creation of images for clients.

A veteran of late nights and tight deadlines, his decade in photography and videography has seen him adapt to an array of briefs: From parties and tradeshows, to concerts and conferences, to worksites and working kitchens, to portraits and the occasional album cover.

Outside of Gilligan Group, Dean is generally tinkering with synthesizers, filming documentaries, or producing cooking shows for charity.
