REMSMART is where pay and performance meet. But before meeting Gilligan Group this brand was lacking clear commercial messaging and focused heavily on data promotion rather than it's unique cloud-based insights and people expertise.


REMSMART wanted to redefine the way HR professionals and Boards approach remuneration decisions, delivering an on-demand total reward solution that was unlike any other salary survey or people advisory consultancy in existence.

Gilligan Group took up the opportunity to work with a dynamic, self starting team and within a limited timeframe had turned a technical and highly governed industry solution into a cloud-based concept with clear commercial messaging and a brand facelift.

Our Approach

Gilligan Group worked closely with the founder and managing director of REMSMART who himself had a high profile in the development of remuneration surveys and is a trusted advisor to many of Australia’s leading listed and private organisations.

Initially we upturned the existing face of the business, providing a brand lift and subsequently a messaging workshop, focusing on the core offering of an accessible, on-demand information portal supported by remuneration and incentive design experts. Determined to be very clear about how this product is unlike anything in the market, despite the common perception of pay surveys, we created purposeful storytelling around the brand’s highly regarded subscription portfolio, functionality and workforce/board governance expertise.

Culminating in a new website, COVID-19 leadership pieces including a pandemic pay report and a presence on social media, we continue to act as the organisation’s communications and PR firm, pursuing issues-based media campaigns.

When I approached Gilligan Group I knew I needed marketing, but I didn't know how to express what made my business different or integrate my business operations with a marketing strategy.
