Founded in 2022, Consolidated Copper Corporation is a developing sustainability-focused copper mining company with assets in Namibia. To build investor confidence and effectively present to its target market, this new company needed a brand identity and a website that would go the distance.

The Situation

Consolidated Copper is operated by a group of value-driven mining executives with an impeccable record of developing and operating large scale mines in Africa. The name ‘Consolidated Copper’ speaks both to their experience as copper mining executives, as well as their current business focus – consolidating copper assets in the one country.

Motivated to engineer sustainable and responsible restart plans for their copper mines in Namibia, the executive team wanted a brand that would highlight their commitment to environmental, social, and governance principles. We identified their need for a brand style guide and associated collateral, a website development from scratch and SEO copywriting, with opportunity for ongoing investor communications support.

Our Approach

The first question posed was whether to adhere to the literal ‘copper’ hues often seen on the branding of peers, or to leverage a ‘greener’ colour palette that was a symbolic representation of their ESG focus. Ultimately, the latter was selected, as it best resonated with their company positioning and purpose. We then developed a suite of collateral including investor presentation slide show decks, stationary and social media graphics.

Consolidated Copper then engaged us to build a website that aligned with their new branding and communicated their assets and approach to responsible copper mining. An interim, ‘Phase A’ splash page was needed in the immediate term, as they did not have a web presence at all.

Phase B saw the wireframing, design development and copywriting of a completely new website. Detailed SEO research was undertaken to ensure that content was engaging, and harnessed keywords targeted at existing and prospective investors.

Results and Outcomes

We were proud to present Consolidated Copper with a fresh brand identity that inspires investor confidence. We created a consistent, coherent, and stylish brand and style guide that extended across their website, stationary, eNews, Investor Presentation slide decks, social media assets, signage and letterhead.

Their new website clearly captures their efforts to be a sustainable operator in the copper space. Illustrated maps that draw attention to the location of their mining operations within Namibia highlight their strategic consolidation of copper assets.
